What an idiot. At least it didn't say ex-VT QB.

Like a cheetah - ran out of gas after 200 yards and plopped down huffing and puffing
Takin' it to the next level.
Liked how he denied pushing the cop out of the way and resisting arrest.
Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Idiot. Had every opportunity, multiple times more or less handed to him and this is where he ends up.
Looks like the only thing 1984 got wrong was the date.

I'm assuming he had something on him that he needed time to ditch? I can't think of another reason that he takes off running - surely he didn't want to spend the rest of his life as a fugitive.miles wrote:Like a cheetah - ran out of gas after 200 yards and plopped down huffing and puffing

The cop had a funny line - you came into a gym full of cops and someone was bound to recognize you.
Marcus complained that if he had a regular name, the cop wouldn't be arresting him and amusingly the cop asked him if he was related to "the Vick".
Marcus kept insisting that he didn't have any warrants in Virginia - only in Blacksburg. He repeatedly fails to recognize that Blacksburg is in Virginia.

It's sad to ponder the life he could have had, but squandered for this one.
Unvaccinated,. mask free, and still alive.

Re: Dude still has some wheels...
It would suck to be Marcus Vick. He has all of the downside with fame, being recognized and people being interested in following any and every transgression. However, he has none of the upside with fame, an ability and means to build assets and income. He's an out of demand famous person with no money. That's the worst!
His top end was probably a 2 or 3 year NFL career as a backup, followed by some CFL and/or some Arena league. Not really sure how silver platter that is for a person with his propensity to make bad decision after bad decision.

Re: Dude still has some wheels...
He was given every opportunity to succeed. Yes, his upbringing left a lot to be desired, but that's the same for millions of poor people. Very few have a brother who can take away the poor part of the equation. Even fewer get to have someone like Coach Beamer to help them, mentor them, and be an authority figure to them.BG Hokie wrote:It would suck to be Marcus Vick. Squandering opportunity is not excusable.
Re: Dude still has some wheels...
Had he not been a dumbass in college, his top end would have been significantly higher. All he had do was play by the rules, but he couldn't do it.BG Hokie wrote:It would suck to be Marcus Vick. 1. What a POS.
2. Does that cop have any eligibility left?

Re: Dude still has some wheels...
People with even marginal decision making skills don't normally end up in situations where they're running from cops. He's dumber than a box of rocks... that's why he has warrants and that's why he ran.BigDave wrote:I'm assuming he had something on him that he needed time to ditch? He's living the life he made for himself. There's plenty of lesser-famous siblings out there who aren't shirtbirds.BG Hokie wrote:It would suck to be Marcus Vick.
