I tried it, but apparently Forum Runner has not released a version for the current version of phpBB (their most recent published version is from March and there is a beta from May). The current version gives errors when I try to install it.

I don't believe that exists. It is definitely NOT a build-in feature of phpBB and there are no active mods for it ... just a few abandoned efforts.

So I broke down and installed Tapatalk on my iPad and iPhone... It's 273738x better than ForumRunner on UI/UX.
