Four of eight women have also bailed. The eight were hailed as the most in an academy class since 1982, when a lawsuit forced the FDNY to bring on the first female firefighters.

Racist!!!

And by that, I mean the court order, and the reaction from the Vulcan Society. Seriously. Too many are dropping out. It can't be them, it must be the training methods. I'm picturing the FDNY training to be similar to that of the fine movie, Men of Honor.

Obviously, the standards are still too high. They need to be much lower.

Color is more important than competence.

I liked the one guy who said he was "kicked to the curb" even though he tried to do something new in his life. Like he should be given the job, because he was trying something new. And it was not fair that he failed.
