Any Raleigh People here?

Post by Florida Hokie »

Visit your City Council if so. Thank them for the outstanding job they are doing. Clearly all your major woes have been solved. Now they can focus on nuisance items like rogue caregivers that have the audacity to feed homeless people.

My favorite part:

"No representative from the Raleigh Police Department was willing to tell us which ordinance we were breaking"

are that they prepared the food themselves and most cities require some sort of license to operate such "soup kitchens". I think Raleigh was only trying to protect themselves from legal liability in case the prepared food made a homeless/poor person sick and then said homeless/poor person sued the city for allowing them to operate on public ground.

If that's the case, there's a simple solution. The city government can stop considering the sidewalk its property.
