Why do people have such a hard-on for pit bulls anyway?

Why can't they love some other kind of dog?

My niece is a cop, and she mentioned that one of the signs someone is a drug dealer is that they have a pit bull.

Is this a euphemism for something or does it just mean he's not in favor of banning pit bulls.

The federal government has no business having anything to do with what dogs you may or may not own, so on this limited point, I agree with Obama.

This has nothing to do with federal legislation. This is the federal government trying to stick its nose into local government business. The implication (this was just a speech) is that the DoJ could look into these local ordinances....

tjl is (was) the Michael Vick of UWS - he has lots of pit bulls and thinks they're no different than any other dog. I disagree, and we've had some heated arguments in the past over it. He still has a chip on his shoulder over it.
