One of my most revered heroes is Theodore Roosevelt, Jr.
I'm sure that several on this board have little knowledge about him and I won't go into it here, but will link wiki below:

Later in his life, Omar Bradley was asked about the bravest, most heroic thing he'd ever seen. He replied,
"Ted Roosevelt on Utah Beach".
Today is the 72nd anniversary of DDay, the Normandy Landings

Yup he saved the landings at Utah Beach...although the defense of Utah wasn't as severe as on Omaha the landings were spread out and TR Jr. kept them together and moving inland.miles wrote:One of my most revered heroes is Theodore Roosevelt, Jr.

Yes it is! Good reminder. Was thinking of this anniversary yesterday.

Salute the Marines
Soon we'll have planes that fly 22000 mph
"#PedoPete" = Hunter's name for his dad.
