How to Make Everything Worse That You Already Hate

Not a bad read from a liberal addressed to other liberals.

In my opinion this election was about so much more than candidate personalities - it was about culture. It was, like Brexit, a referendum on whether we wanted to accept globalism and enshrine victimhood (political correctness) / multiculturalism, or focus on America and the values that make it great. People are not only sick and tired of being called racist/bigot/whatever for not only perceived grievances, but also for failing to declare their affirmative support thereof. An altogether overlooked element to this (again, in my opinion) was liberals pushing this PC crap on young adults (aka "gamergate") - telling young boys (for example) they were sexist for not wanting play chicks in first-person shooter games. In doing so, they mobilized a new generation of young adults ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... e-WW2.html ) who don't want what Democrats are selling.

Liberal policy popularity might ebb and flow, but I think people who aren't living in echo chambers are waking up to the realities of what globalism / multiculturalism mean for them. Liberals (and Republicans) misjudged peoples' support for (as the LA Times dubbed him in 2007: http://www.latimes.com/la-oe-ehrenstein ... story.html ) the "magic negro" as support for globalism and political correctness. That's why they lost. In order to have any chance of winning in 2020, they need to either clone Obama (which is why I think they're begging Michelle to run), or reject globalism and multiculturalism.

In the early 1800's when the British colonized India, the Hindus practiced "Sati (or, Suttee)" - whereby when a husband died, his wife was burned alive on a pire. Here is how the British (General Charles Napier, to be exact) handled it:
"Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs."

Today, Indians universally (and rightfully) reject the practice of sati and we can all agree the world is generally a better place because of it. How would liberals of today (the same folks celebrating women wearing hijabs just a few weeks ago) react when presented with this circumstance?
