Just so we're clear here, Mueller's charter is to investigate Russian collusion to interfere with the election. The best he can come up with is a procedural crime comitted AFTER the election.

This guy Mueller is as dirty as Fitzgerald.

You dopes keep saying procedural crime. He wasn't charged with a procedural crime. His crime is similar to Wild Bills impeachment crime.

True. Mueller IS dirty, going back to Obama's first term. He's on a government sanctioned fishing expedition, trolling for marlin and sailfish. After almost a year he was able to snag a catfish bottom feeding. A gigantic waste of time, but hey, at least he's justified the tens of millions of dollars his crew of democrats have spent.

LOL......Fake News........
Critically, ABC News reports, correcting their earlier report, that Michael Flynn is prepared to testify that Donald Trump directed him to contact the Russians as president-elect, not as a candidate.

It was a Brian Ross story. Only a low info person would have believed it to begin with. Remember, it was Brian Ross that immediately blamed the Tea Party for the Colorado shooting before doing any sort of confirmation like real journalists do. That guy has zero credibility, but I guess that's par for the course at ABC.

So in late December, after the election, in reaction to the Obama administration putting additional sanctions on Russia, Flynn met with the Russian Ambassador and told him not to "escalate the situation", then reported the meeting to Trump transition team members. Is this the gist of it? This is the smoking gun that is going to take down Trump?

And yes, this kerfluffle proves there are two sets of rules and laws.
He didn't plead guilty to procedural malfeasance. He pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his procedural malfeasance. He took a deal that kept him from being charged for the long list of times where he made "oopses" on his forms.

Point granted.
Now, let's hope the FBI/justice dept prosecutes everyone who has lied to them -under oath- the last 8 years, eh?

My issue is that there are clearly two sets of laws in this country.

Yes, politics. It's been happening since Bill Clinton. Making claims that there are 2 sets of rules is ludicrous. Clinton was impeached for lying. Flynn is charged for lying. And both Bush and Obama had to endure their opponents trying to find ways to get them out of office, including calls for impeachment.
The main difference today is that you have a POTUS who makes up crap all the time, and a team of people that regularly lie.

You are simply wrong. He committed several crimes, and the idea that "you can talk to Russians", is completely wrong.
I'll give you a hint. Private citizens can have conversations with officials from Great Britain. They can't have conversations with officials from Russia. I'll leave it to you to figure out the difference between those 2 countries.

As for Flynn, he can certainly have conversations with Russia, in the context of what Sean Spicer said he did (we know now that Spicer was also lying out of his butt), but discussing sanctions with them is a no-no, and has the smell of a quid pro quo. That is the reason that he, and other Trump team members, have lied about their contacts with Russia over and over. They knew what they were doing, and got caught.

Is it the worst crime ever committed? No. But it's still a big deal, and anyone who wants to talk about "draining the swamp", has zero credibility if they think Trump is going to do that.

This is the dumbest, and most typical, response.
You are correct of course. Trump and Obama have a lot of similar traits, and you can add Hillary to the mix too.

The only problem with your triggered auto response is that I don't support any of the three. But at least you admit that your guy isn't any better than Obama.

What am I excusing? Uppie, and apparently you, are the ones excusing Flynn's crime(s). I'm not excusing anyone.
The article is about special prosecutor's and their roles. Starr did the same thing, expanded his investigation, in an attempt to get Clinton. It worked.
And the idea that there was nothing at all for Mueller to look into, is silly. When you start asking questions, and people start lying to you, that's evidence of something that isn't kosher. McCarthy doesn't think it is based on any criminality, or evidence that there was a crime committed. That's an opinion, not a fact. The Trump admin's actions, and lies, are not normal, and they were very deceptive in their communications with Russia, who happened to be interfering in the election. A normal person would find that odd.
