Had a doctor's appointment this am, so I got to hear the first part...observations:

1) Comey's opening remarks came off poorly- he sounded like whiny, jilted lover.

2) he reiterated that the Russians were trying to hack the election but failed, so no evidence existed of vote tampering.

3) he reiterated no collusion.

4) he thinks the Russians were involved with WikiLeaks (probably inaccurate- my bet is a DNC staffer).

5) he wrote notes because he felt Trump might lie about the conversations. This is interesting- a law enforcement veteran pointed out that it's Law Enforcement 101 that the officer of the law bring a witness into the room if he/she feels the other party may be dishonest. Comey's notes, as a result, mean nothing.

The GOP senators are also nailing him as they keep asking him why if he was sooooo worried about Trump that he did not notify anyone, his responses sound like he is a 20 year old intern

My first impressions from the opening statements was they were answering the questions before they were asked, putting words in Comey's mouth.
