What is strange is how he was returned just a few months after Trump took office. And he didn't even have to trade 5 terrorist from Gitmo to do it. Seems like Obama could have done a lot more, and the kid's dad agrees.
In a sharp contrast to the Big Three Networks, CNN’s Jake Tapper was not afraid to give credit to the Trump administration during his show The Lead. “Otto's father, very critical of the Obama administration's handling of his son's detention and he praised President Trump,” he told his panel. “And I have to say, this is not the first time we have heard that from the family of a hostage when it comes to criticism of how the Obama administration handled these issues.”

All I can think of the this line: "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

If he had taken a more active role, you would have accused Obama of negotiating with terrorists.

If Obama would have been more active in anything besides being a complete ass I would have been surprised.

Not fair IP.

His non action in Nkorea is consistent with his non action with the marine sergeant in mexico.

And it all fits with his working mightily to get bo bergdhal released in exchange for us releasing high-ranking terrorists from gitmo.

This is not a "one off" by obama. It is of a piece with his other anti american actions.

He was not caught in NK, he went there on a tour or something, why?, then he stole a poster, do you agree that was a really dumb thing to do? If you take a big risk it may have bad consequences. Problem we have is there is nothing we can do about it, the country is already sanctioned to the max, there is nothing there to bomb and if we take any action and do not wipe them off the map they will destroy south korea thus taking out most of our electronic manufacturing. Maybe the US should put a travel ban in place going to NK, you would think that would be common sense tho

You are correct. Caught was a bad word. Also, you are correct that what he did was incredibly stupid. Didn't deserve what he got for it though. You wouldn't think a ban would be necessary but I agree, wouldn't be a bad idea at this point.

EDIT

A travel ban should be instituted. People going to NK are at risk of being used as political pawns. Travel there is not in our national security interests at this time.

We should institute a travel ban on everyone, except Muslims.

Other than some Anthropological study on how Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons lived 10,000's of years ago what is the purpose to wanting to go to NK :?:
