Progress continues even w/o leadership in the White House

Post by fatman »

Bloomberg, Exxon, and other major US corporations filling the leadership void left by trump:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... limate-fix

This is simple, practical, led by industry, and twice as effective as obamas plan.

Economics are trumping Trumps lack of leadership on climate/energy:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... ium=social

Coal is not only a massive pollutant, but it is increasingly uneconomical. No matter how foolishly Trump tries to push coal as the future, the math doesn't work. Trump is irrelevant on this issue, progress will continue by busIness/government leaders who enjoy much better vision than trump.

"Clean coal" option failed to work, even after trump wasting millions on a foolish idea, the economics of coal doom it to a fuel from be gone era:

$billions in write downs coming following this government funded horrifically bad idea. Clean(ish), abondant Natgas is cheap and will be the bridge fuel until renewables blow past it.

When do you think the man-love of the Flim-Flam Man by Far Righties will end? What will it take to end it? When do you think the Far Righties will realize they can't run against their hated "Hillary" forever?

When will they Man Up and say " WE are now responsible".

Seems they "The Righties" are having a hard time coming to grips with this one?

Who really won 2016? The Far Righties?, The Republican Party, or the Flim-Flam Man?

Their Trumpster has hoodwinked them all .... and its showing up ever day.

please explain how renewables can provide the energy required even today? you do realize with the heat in the west this month the power companies are having blackouts due to not being able to supply all the power necessary, but wind and solar can supply all the energy needed even today, not if you cover the planet in panels!!!

When will you start posting about how much disarray the Democrat party is in? Ya know, like you did for years about the GOP? About how the GOP could never win another national election because of the "fundies." Any comment on the "fundies" now running your party?

Your arguments focus too much on the extremes. It doesn't have to be about all energy from renewable sources, it's about finding energy sources that can provide our long-term energy needs at a reasonable cost.

I am responding to what he posts about renewables, he is in the fantasy world that we can have zero fossil fuel energy creation and all renewables.... that is not possible now and by the time it is the planet will have changed enough to make humans extinct. It is not a logical idea, thus why I ask how it is possible. Never mind that if you blanket the planet in solar panels it may have a slight affect on the planet.

Yes renewable can be a small part of our energy generation, no issue with that

You aren't responding to my post if you are responding to someone in a fantasy world. Read the link above, even 20 years from now fossil fuels will still contribute 30-40 percent of energy supply. Within fossil fuels, natgas will continue to displace expensive and dirty coal. You make excrement up cw, because you can't follow the conversation.
