Man with clearly visible Nazi tatoos attends
Indians game with shirt off. Where do you stand with this? Remove him from the stadium? Make him put a shirt on? Ban him for life? Nolan, who is pro-business has already weighed in that Nazi tattoos are the ultimate sin and the guy should be removed and not allowed at Indians games.. so what say the rest of you? Is this more offensive than say a neck full of hip hop and hate whitey tattoos?

a guy has a right to be a butt head, the ball park is a private business though so the owner can IMO remove anybody that they want toCFB Apologist wrote:Indians game with shirt off. The club grants you a license to attend a game. According to the contract, the club can likely revoke that license at its sole discretion. You are correct.cwtcr hokie wrote:a guy has a right to be a butt head, the ball park is a private business though so the owner can IMO remove anybody that they want toCFB Apologist wrote:Indians game with shirt off. I agree. Of course, if he's not removed, he may leave with a bunch of new bruises and cuts. Maybe some broken bones. The question then would be, did anyone sitting around him see anything? Probably not.cwtcr hokie wrote:a guy has a right to be a butt head, the ball park is a private business though so the owner can IMO remove anybody that they want toCFB Apologist wrote:Indians game with shirt off. Re: Man with clearly visible Nazi tatoos attends
That's actually a tough question.
Who decides what is offensive, and what should be done about it?
I for one, certainly don't want to sit next to anyone who's not wearing a shirt, unless it a VS supermodel. If they had a dress code that said shirts with at least short sleeves must be worn....
But then what if he has his forearms tattooed with the same thing?
An american flag tattoo may offend an open borders la raza sympathizer. Like barrack obama. Should american flag tattoos be banned, because they're offensive?
Someone with young children may want want them exposed to violent imagery with skulls and blood.
Who decides?
For this guy, just cover it up. Be considerate. It's a ball game, not a cross burning.

True, but then again if a person is so big on Nazism that he would have it permanently inked onto his body, one could probably assume he has been violent about it at some point in his past. Maybe it was when he was a stupid teenager, but there is violence inherent in Nazism. Does this guy deserve to get his ass kicked for taking off his shirt at a baseball game? I certainly don't think so. But I'm not the one whose going to be beating the $hit out this guy either.awesome guy wrote:I know who the violent people are, the same ones you're worried about. The question gets more basic...what is offensive?
Of course the team decides, but that is a business decision.
Who in the broader sense decides what is offensive?
What would you do?

I certainly don't think so. But I'm not the one whose going to be beating the $hit out this guy either.awesome guy wrote:I know who the violent people are, the same ones you're worried about. Re: Man with clearly visible Nazi tatoos attends
And if someone is offended by an american flag tattoo...would you ask that the flag be covered up?
Where is the line? Do you impose your morals on everyone with tattoos in the ballpark?

Of course the team decides, but that is a business decision.
Who in the broader sense decides what is offensive?
What would you do?

Nolan, who is pro-business has already weighed in that Nazi tattoos are the ultimate sin and the guy should be removed and not allowed at Indians games.. so what say the rest of you? Is this more offensive than say a neck full of hip hop and hate whitey tattoos?

If you bend over backwards long enough,
eventually you'll fall down.

American flag tat OK. Topless ladies OK, graphic third base depictions have to cover up.oaktonhokie wrote:And if someone is offended by an american flag tattoo...would you ask that the flag be covered up?

Of course the club gets to impose their morality on their audience. Its their right. The Indians do not owe any first amendment rights to any of its license holders. It's their prerogative.

Boyd Crowder should be allowed to attend Indians games, but support the club's right to remove him if they wish.
