Trump should have called out sen machin, the inbred

Post by oaktonhokie »

democrat in WVa.

Manchin ran as a conservative democrat, of which there are none.

But when chucky schumer needed manchin's vote, manchin stood with the socialists. He impresses me as being VERY stupid. Stupid enough to be in the black caucus. Stupid enough to make patty murray look like a senator.

He's dumb. But enough people in WVa are dumber and he is a US Senator.

It will be interesting to see how Manchin runs in next year's election. He has to own his vote to not repeal Obamacare. And he hasn't really done anything to help Trump's agenda - which is wildly popular in WV. I always thought there was a chance he'd switch parties, but he's hitched his wagon to the Democrat party with his HC vote. Let's hope he gets the boot next fall.

I agree with Oakton that the average Wfvirginian is stupid - way less intelligent than the average American. Obamacare is not unpopular in places where people are not so stupid.

It's supported by the insurance lobby. And that is why we still have it.

I don't think Trump wanted to bring up healthcare. He should move on from repealing Ocare, because everyone else has. He should agree to a bipartisan bill to expand Medicaid and Medicare, that allows the government better pricing and curtails pharma excess.

You make a fair point about bringing up the obama care thing. Could redound in his favor but it's risky.

I was thinking maybe trump would say to the governor, "Why don't you have a conversation with manchin. We have some important votes coming up. We could use him."

Something like that.

Not bad, except that I don't support Obamacare. Still a good effort.
