Re: Study: Vegetarians 2x more likely to suffer depression
Steak, slightly on the rare side of medium rare, makes me happy.
Still, like the other thread, Romans 14:3 and all that.
Some one eating leaves is happy with that? Cool beans (pun intended).
I'd be miserable. lol.

So I put (the dead dog) on her doorstep!

Re: Study: Vegetarians 2x more likely to suffer depression
Is it really because of vitamin deficiency or is it because people who are predisposed to be whiny liberals are also predisposed to be vegetarians?

Re: Study: Vegetarians 2x more likely to suffer depression
The vegetarians are most likely liberal.
Liberals have no sense of humor and tend to be depressed. Someone said something that hurt their feelings, so they are bummed.
Something like, "Man, this cheese burger sure is good. Want a prozac?"
They are not depressed because they don't eat meat. The are depressed because they are libs. And they're trying to save the planet by not eating cows. They have cows, but they don't eat them.

Plants can tell they are being eaten
http://www.businessinsider.com/plants-k ... en-2014-10
Vegetarians and vegans pay heed: New research shows plants know when they're being eaten. And they don't like it.
That plants possess an intelligence is not new knowledge, but according to Modern Farmer, a new study from the University of Missouri shows plants can sense when they are being eaten and send out defense mechanisms to try to stop it from happening.
The study was carried out on thale cress, or Arabidopsis as it's known scientifically, which is closely related to broccoli, kale, mustard greens, and other siblings of the brassica family and is popular for science experiments. It is commonly used in experiments because it was the first plant to have its genome sequenced, and scientists are intimately familiar with how it works.
