Tinker Creek fish kill

I've been on both sides and releases to the water are by far the worse...on many instances all you can do is stand there on the bank and let it run it's course. :(

solution by dilution
Offending company will get reamed financially, and rightfully so.
However, my peeve is municipal government caused releases. Failure to maintain, fix and improve wastewater and sewage treatment facilities is a, if not the, major cause of contaminant releases in the country. It's just not sexy for politicians to spend money on fixing and maintaining infrastructure when they can instead waste it on sexy boondoggle projects designed for the purpose of reelection.
Government doesn't fine government for fecal matter.
Recently, in Mecklenberg County, local government at first attempted to blame "wasteful water usage" by residents for a large raw sewage spill into a tributary of the Catawba River.
