The sad reality is that the "Chicago" conversation is off limits on social media, CNN, etc. You can't even bring it up, you get the liberal eye roll, and the standard "There was a KKK march in 2017..OMG, you want to talk about Chicago??"- that is the response. I actually saw a twat liberal politician blame it on white suburban kids from Indiana and their "demand" for crack and heroine increasing Chicago street crime.. I kid you not. Also of course its the lax, redneck, Indiana border gun laws that cause all these killings. It's really amazing how little press this gets - Baltimore as well.
