Why politicizing sports could backfire on the left

Post by I85hokie »

It seems that we as Americans are obsessed with sports on an emotional level.* So much so that it distracts us for more important issues. But for the globalist elites that's a good thing. I mean, bread and circuses, right? They want us to be distracted. But when you politicize sports, it forces the people to think about more important issues. And do they really want that, since the most ardent sports fans tend to be more right-wing and nationalistic?

*Not just Americans. If anything the Euros are even more obsessed with their soccer.

even simpler than that, the left has fallen into a trap as the debate is framed around Trump supporting the nation, our flag, and the police with the left protesting our nation, laws, flag, and righteousness. They've made themselves look like foreign invaders attacking our nation. Trump's looking like a champ when he really had a bad week with Obamacare recall falling again and other bad news that wasn't reported as they left pushed this silliness.
