Yup. And what he said was dead on......but somehow, someway, he will be blasted for saying it.

Dennis Miller once again sums it up best:
The Democratic Party views Frederica Wilson as Joan of Arc and General Kelly as traitorous. What more do you need to know?
He’s completely wrong about Wilson. Congressmen are often there when families of the military are going to see their relatives caskets for the first time. And Wilson is a friend of the family, not just their Congressman. Nothing odd about that at all. It’s strange that he thinks it’s odd for Wilson to be present for a private call, while at the same time, he’s listening to it also.
He was dead on with regard to his points about what Trump was trying to convey. He blew it trying to attack Wilson.
He’s saying the Democrat Party is making her a saint for politicizing the whole thing, which in my mind, is despicable.
Are you saying you think politicizing the calls to soldiers is despicable?

If you are saying that, you might want to take a time machine back to 10/16/17.
I wish he’d never said what he did. I wish he would have just stayed silent on the issue.....but.....it’s Trump, and he fights back.
He wasn't fighting back. He brought up calls to families of killed military personnel on his own. He created his own problem because he's "petty and ineffective", and he can't control himself.

Unfortunately for you, there is actual video of the conference.

Trump was asked this question, "Why haven't we heard anything from you so far about the Soldiers that were killed in Niger? And what do you have to say about that?"

He responded with, "So, the traditional way -- if you look at President Obama and other Presidents, most of them didn't make calls, a lot of them didn't make calls."

No one asked him about making calls. He brought it up and then lied about what other President's have done.
He created his own problem, because he can't keep himself from needlessly attacking other people and lying.

You should really stop calling people slow. Kelly isn't denying that Trump said what Wilson claimed. He was trying to explain what Trump really meant by those stupid comments. Trump lied when he said he didn't say that.

Trump didn't make stupid comments, Wilson went ghetto trash and misrepresented them. She was on CNN 10 minutes after the call, it was a planned smear. Stop being a stooge for liberal buffoonery.

Lying about what past President's have done, in an attempt to make himself look better, is a stupid thing to say.
Lying about making those comments to the soldier's widow, is stupid.

Should Wilson have made a big deal about it. No. But Trump shouldn't have lied.
All avoidable.

What lie? Obama didn't call Gold Star families. I'm sure Trump's talk was like the one above that you said was good, he didn't lie about it. Wilson lied about it, it's part of DNC and CNN propaganda claiming he was disrespectful when she's turning a funeral into a political rally.

Unfortunately, he’s always fighting back. The media is always looking for something to bash him over the head with. These biased jackasses ran with a fake piss mattress Story for God’s sake. They were looking to bash him over the dead in Niger and he stepped in it and now we have all this. THey will run with this story for days, as they already have. They will question every little detail. They will believe that vile Congresswoman over anything. Now General Kelly is.............a racist. This is another controversy that will do nothing but make Trump supporters and others tired of the left support him more.

I wish he didn’t say some of the things he has. I wish he was different, but he’s not. I knew this was going to be 4 years of fun, and it sure as hell is. He is something we’ve never seen before in the office.....and you know what? I think it’s time for it. He’s an outsider. He’s on an island and he’s a fighter and he will swing at anyone or anything. So be it.

What are you talking about? Obama called lots of military families. And he met with lots of them, including Kelly. Trump was making up and he got caught. He even said later on that he doesn't really know. You don't throw out a comment like that, off the cuff. It's stupid, he deserves criticism for being FOS.
As for Wilson, she didn't lie. Listen to Kelly's comments. He isn't saying Trump didn't make those comments, he is explaining what Trump was trying to convey by saying them. Trump said them, and he lied when he said he didn't.

I've already said Wilson shouldn't politicize it, but by the same token, Trump shouldn't have politicized calling families by making up crap about former POTUS's. They're both wrong.

Wilson gave a BS representation of what Trump said, that's the lie. Kelly didn't even say what Trump said, he said what he told him that he himself would say. We haven't heard verbatim what Trump said or in the tone and context, just the lie from Wilson who had already set up this narrative and was ready to tell the lie on CNN(as if they have a shortage of lies). You might want to try again. Many Gold Star families have said that Trump hasn't called them. If that's his practice, he sucks at sticking to it. What's being discussed is Trump trying to act like he is more sympathetic and responsive to military families of fallen soldiers, and the facts don't back that up. Trump hasn't called all the families, even though he wrongly said he has.
He's the one who tried to use his "practice" to score political points, and he's paying the price for speaking out about things he had no idea about, and for lying about his own actions. You're a bigger Trump knob-slobberer than I thought you were.

Why would I try again, unlike you, I've been right from the start and are still right. 100s of frantic Google searches to find Trump not calling Gold Star families (that he's called after all)doesn't make you right, it makes you pathetic. And yeah, Trump is way more sympathetic to the military than Obama ever was. Hilarious that you find that even debatable, Trump loves the military like Obama loves BLM. Stop being such a loser.

Here are three names for you.

Jonathon Hunter.
Etienne Murphy
Benjamin Cross.

Doesn’t require googling to know that their families weren’t called by Trump. You just have to read, watch, or listen to a news source that isn’t completely FOS.
We all know you don’t actually care about the truth or how petty Trump can be.

As for Trump vs Obama and sympathy to the military, I’d give the edge to Trump, but his actions this week are pitiful. He’s the first POTUS to we dead soldiers to try and belittle his predecessors.

Most people are as “disgusted and frustrated” as Kelly was at Trump’s actions.

JFC, the VP was there in person to offer condolences at transfer. You're FOS and desperate to make a pathetic point. I'm embarrassed for you since you're seemingly incapable of feeling shame. Here's a Google item for you, some of these soldiers have crappy relationships with their families and so they're not on the call list. As you have no shame and so don't really care how you dig through people's lives in their time of sorrow so long as you think you can zing Trump with it. the POS is FOS.

Make up your mind. When Obama met personally with John Kelly, the discussion was about the POTUS calling or not calling the families. Now it’s not about calling?

And you’re the one that just wrote “that he’s called after all”, in defense of Trump. You were wrong so now you’re backtracking. All you’re doing is proving over and over again that you’re OK with Trump using dead soldiers as a political football, even when he’s losing the game.

You're so FOS that it's hard to keep track of the latest BS. You're claiming Trump doesn't really call Gold Star families when he does. You claim he lied about the meeting Wilson overheard when he didn't. You say he lied when he said Obama didn't call Gold Star families as a practice when Obama didn't. You have no idea what you're talking about and clearly lash out in blind hatred over anything Trump. Facts be damned, you're going to wail and cry. And yeah, it's pathetic to claim "he didn't call!" when he sent the VP in person. Your whole line of attack and disregard for the privacy of fallen soldiers should be a clue to rethink your priorities as human being. This is pathetic, the dead are now political cannon fodder for your ilk.

He created his own problem because he's "petty and ineffective", and he can't control himself.
wasn't rebutting, where the hell have you been. He made a call to a widow, the congresswoman in the dumb ass cowboy hat present mis-characterized what he said and attacked him via the MSM....he rebutted the moronic hat chick and the msm... try and keep up

then Kelly came out yesterday and told the MSM what effing idiots they are
You should really stop calling people slow. Kelly isn't denying that Trump said what Wilson claimed. He was trying to explain what Trump really meant by those stupid comments. Trump lied when he said he didn't say that.
oh my freaking gawd, context matters dude, mis-representing what someone says is lying. Wilson is a hat wearing idiot

The words you're using aren't what Trump said, why do you keep changing them? You seem to be completely forgetting that Trump is the one who brought up calling the soldiers, and he's the one who brought up John Kelly's own son, something Sarah Sanders made Kelly "disgusted and frustrated". Yet, you of course, don't think he is at fault at all.

By any objective measure, our president is a liar. This is not subject to debate.

I'm using his words. Trump brought up calling soldiers after being accused of not doing anything for them. You're FOS, as usual.
