Sayonara.
One can be uneducated and smart and someone can be educated and stupid (presumably most people here graduated from VT?). So Lebron may be "uneducated" but he is certainly not dumb, which your post seems to imply. For example, after his first three years in the league he (and his team - not pricey agent) was able to figure out the rookie contracts and filed paper work that maxed his salary, and Melo (and the other big name rookie from his year).

He also seems to be a class act, unlike the guy who he is compared to constantly.
http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/10/lebron- ... r-room-mad

Regardless, he's brilliant on the basketball court. I wasn't a "Lebron" guy, "The Decision", was stupid, but the guy is the easily the best player of his generation. If you want to see something special, watch him score 30 some straight points in an overtime win against the Pistons in the playoffs from his first stint in Cleveland, or watch the first NBA Finals against the Warriors. The Cavs took 2 games off that team solely because of Lebron.
I don’t get the LeBron hate. Greatest and hardest working player of his generation, overcame obstacles of his upbringing, has a great business sense, etc. That’s a model of success IMO.

"The Decision" was the most narcissistic thing in the history of sports. Most insiders will tell you he is not a "good guy" at all. Refused to meet with Pat Riley - a hall of famer and one of the top 5 coaches of all time- because he wasn't "the owner". Can only win or play with other all stars- whines when he does not have enough of them on his team. Will lose more finals than he has won when he is done playing. And magically his "business sense" would disappear if he scored 4 points a game. He is a not a great "business man", he is a great basketball player and they tend to get huge marketing deals. When Tiger declined, Nike Golf went out of business. Funny how that works?
If the worst thing LeBron ever does is raise money for charity, he’ll do alright.

LMAO......if "the Decision" was about "charity" and not LeBron's (excuse me, The Kings) uncontrollable ego, then why was it televised on ESPN? I don't expect and honest or remotely correct answer from you.
I mean, I’m not going to crush the guy for it. I wouldn’t have gone that route, but it raised money for charity and got big ratings, so it worked well for both LeBron and ESPN.

That stunt was 98% "The King's" ego.. and 2% charity- and I'm being generous. Total douche move and unless you know his family or are a cavs/heat fan, you are turned off by that nonsense.

Because being on ESPN is what raised 3 million dollars. It was probably about his ego too but if you're going to have an ego you might as well use it to raise more money for charity than any of us will.

CFB is citing LeBron’s ego as if that’s unique for top 1% performers.

I've been an active observer of this thread and I've got to award the lion-share of internet points to CFB here. He would have gained additional points by more clearly acknowledging that Lebron, while a douche, is by far the best player in the league. He can lose one (more) step, and still be the best player in the league.

But you guys are missing the big story here. The Knicks are back.

Is it possible to be the best and not have that ego? Some may be a little better at controlling it, Jerry Rice sure, MJ - definitely not. But, we'll give him a pass because that was the good 'ol days.

Getting the thread back on track, Lavarr Ball should be thankful his kid wasn't either sent back in a coma or a box. What an idiot.

I know, hard to believe Donald Trump would lie.

Report: Donald Trump Didn't Actually Do Anything To Free UCLA Players Detained In China
“The players were already checked into the hotel before the public discovered they were arrested,” a team source said. “They also were not under house arrest. It was our decision to keep them at the hotel until the situation was resolved. The charges were dropped, they weren’t reduced, and that happened two days before we heard from Gen. Kelly.”

Donald Trump is a stupid man's idea of a smart man, a poor man's idea of a rich man, and a weak man's idea of a strong man.

Tough call on who to believe. Trump or Hoof and his bullshit link. Hoof and company end up being the liars when they call Trump a liar. Like Obama wiretapping his building and spying on his campaign. Hoof might as well be called Cow because he produces mounds and mounds of bullshit.
