Thanks for posting. Some interesting stuff in there. The biggest is that anti-trust should consider more than the consumer. Given current anti-trust law, it is difficult to challenge Google. The criminal record has no relevance on anti-trust. If they are breaking laws, go after them for the laws. If they are colluding, go after them for collusion. In an article laying out the merits of trust-busting, that isn't a relevant reason.
The best solution may be the most difficult. Give people control of their data. If companies pay people, and people pay for services, the model would be fixed. I'm not sure how practical that is. Another is to make Google responsible for the information they provide. That's a lot of regulation though.
