Wouldn't we find out years in advance if an asteroid was going to get anywhere near Earth?

Even the one on February 4 isn't really coming anywhere near us - there's some expansive definition of a "threatening" asteroid ... it will be 10 times further away from the Earth than the Moon is. That's considered a "threatening" asteroid.

Yeah, but asteroids aren't traveling at warp speed. It's not going to suddenly come upon us.

That asteroid is probably racist. Targeting largely black and poor neighborhoods and s.hole countries in africa and haiti.
