Wouldn't we find out years in advance if an asteroid was going to get anywhere near Earth?
Even the one on February 4 isn't really coming anywhere near us - there's some expansive definition of a "threatening" asteroid ... it will be 10 times further away from the Earth than the Moon is. That's considered a "threatening" asteroid.

We still can't see the planet past Pluto. For all of our astrological prowess, we're still not as good as we think we are.BigDave wrote:Wouldn't we find out years in advance if an asteroid was going to get anywhere near Earth?
