Anyone else watch Homeland?

Post by RiverguyVT »

We started because they were filming in RVA

Pro tip- Saul is Inigo Montoya
So I put (the dead dog) on her doorstep!
Salute the Marines
Soon we'll have planes that fly 22000 mph
"#PedoPete" = Hunter's name for his dad.

I watched a few seasons and then lost interest. The first few seasons are good, though the guy who plays Sgt. Brody is awful.

I understand that their Md/DC/NOVA scenes were mostly shot in Charlotte.

We binged through it all. Agry that the first 2 seasons were better than the middle ones. The last one was good. The new season will deal with “deep state”

Do they ever kill Brody off? I would consider picking it back up if I knew I wouldn’t have to watch his bad acting.

FYI - I know someone who is Eskimo Brothers with Sgt. Brody.

I liked Brody IP. He rocks in Billions as Bobby Axelrod.

I lost interest in Homeland eventually. Didn’t watch the last two seasons.

Why couldn't they find a real 'merican to play a Marine Corp Sniper :?: ;)

Spoiler alert

Yes
Brody is killed off (the downside there is that we no longer see Morena Baccarin (swoon). :(

The actor who played Brody was awesome as Winters in Band of Brothers

The very last season picked up a few ticks, IMHO

I’m not big into military movies and have never seen Band of Brothers. I’ve heard he’s been good in other things. Yet everyone who ever says anything about him, always says he’s good in everything but Homeland, which is the only thing I’ve seen him in.

He seems very mechanical and rigid. Like he’s doin a read for a taping in two days, but we see the rehearsal.

Ms. Brody is awesome. Carrie gets on my nerves after a while and overacts (probably in attempt to compensate for Brody). Saul is awesome, but his character seems a bit cliche and overdone. 5/10.

Carrie's go-to acting move is to raise her eyebrows, drop them, and look quickly to one side. She'll do that 3 times, and then work in a furled brow, only to go back & raise, drop, look aside, ...lather rinse repeat..

I think that is due to her mental illness, or something. . . She tries too hard.

You think Damian Lewis is awful?

Captain Richard Winters
Nicholas Brody
Bobby Axelrod

He's played 3 of the most awesome tv/mini series characters of all time. Why do you hate good stuff?

Agree, we can't trust an ip opinion on anything solely because he's never seen Band of Brothers.

I actually get that a lot. Is it a movie or a tv show?

I'm trying to remember.. it was a one-or-two week series. You really should see it, IP. Very well done.
