Obamacare's Independent Payment Advisory Board

We've heard a lot about the IPAB (death squad) since the bills enactment in 2010. Apparently the recent budget bill officially killed it, although it sounds like it never really got started. Apparently neither party liked it, Obama never appointed anyone to its board, and its funding was constantly getting reduced or stripped. So it really existed only on paper.

So a bad solution to controlling healthcare costs never really got off the ground and is now in the morgue. Good.

Wow, I guess we really did have to pass the bill to find out what's in it! And this time, it seems like it was filled with goodies :-)
