That's good, because the 2A protects weapons useful in a military conflict. You have more of right to an AR15 than Joe Biden's shotgun.

In fact, in US v. Miller, the SCOTUS ruled that sawed off shotgun was not protected because it served no military purpose.

ETA: You're also arguing for rational basis scrutiny, which the most batshirt crazy justices on the Supreme Court wouldn't even think passes the smell test.

Also, the US sees gun violence in high schools at a rate that is standard deviations different than those countries with stricter gun laws. That evidence is overwhelming, its fact much like the roundess of earth. You are the one arguing that the earth is flat, yet you insult and mock a man who has all the facts on his side.

See: the hundreds of shirt hole countries with far stricter gun laws and far, far more (gun) violence.

When liberals talk about countries with stricter gun laws, they always seem to only be talking about the white ones....funny how that works.

You may want to compare apples to apples, comparing the US to a country that does not have near the populations, land mass, and mix of people that the US has is not a fair comparison...but you know that.

The FACT is you are five times more likely to struck and killed by lightning then you are to be shot and killed in your public school. The FACT is in the last two decades gun ownership has gone up dramatically by the general public. The FACT is that firearm violence has decreased during that time. Does crime still happen??? YES, Do criminals give a damn about laws.... Obviously no.

The other FACT is what USN pointed out in the thread and what I was referring Uncle Fester to: Most normal rifle ammunition will go thru the standard bullet proof vests that the US police forces use. They do not use the vests with the max protection as they are probably much heavier than the standard one they use and the forces do not want to lug that around all day. The FACT is also that many police officers never even fire their service weapon during their time as a cop and are not shot at, so there is a cost/benefit analysis to the vest question.

Uncle Fester has never owned a gun, never used one (as far as I know) and is clueless about them and demonstrates that in these gun threads..... next
