Totally biased newswriting

Post by ElbertoHokie »

But the video is incontrovertible and it doesn't make it any less creepy or 1984. Since you guys like to bring that up so much.

And before all of you decry that any company can write a memo and release it to the public. I think it's the fact that they don't reveal this is a national thing, they make it out to be a local station message they're transmitting. "Your hometown station believes this, so eat it up!"

Do we really know this wasn’t made with protools? You could easily fake this. I have seen it posted a lot over the past two days.

Funny how the libtards are bringing this up, when one only has to watch cnn, msnbc, hbo, or SNL to see how the bias really plays out.

There's bias and then there is scripted.

Is there a denial by the media group? If there is post it and then we can pick it apart. I haven't seen a denial anywhere so far.

Considering "BubbaProg" at Deadspin posted this on Saturday afternoon before Easter, maybe give them a business day to respond to whoever this is, if they've even seen it yet? Just a crazy thought.

Haven't checked the link, but you'd never say this if you weren't being on the TDB.

ElbertoHokie, IP, some random dude from Deadspin, and ThinkProgress are super pissed that they asked viewers to tell them if they reported something unfair.

What are the chances anyone offended by this actually contacted their local station?

As if editorial directives aren't given at NBC, ABC, etc; and this is nothing more than the left's bogus 'fake news'.

Taken by itself, it is no big deal. But, looking at some of Sinclair's past mandatory promos and stories (like the one they pushed about the FBI having a personal vendetta against Flynn), it's at least something to keep an eye on. For the most part, though, if it ever gets too heavy handed, there are enough newscasters that would push back that it's probably just another case of confirmation bias. The people that think all news is fake news, and that Trump is truth beacon, will continue to think that. The people that think all news is true and factual, and that everything Trump does is vile, will continue to think that.

Not aware of the example you're speaking of, but if they usurped editorial control from affiliates and presented their political agenda as the view of those affiliates, that would be wrong. Sure.

Based on what's presented here, I'm not really seeing that.

Agreed on the transcript above. In general, Sinclair has pushed conservative "must-air"segments and messages to their local stations. I don't think they do the same thing with liberal segments, but maybe no one has made that connection yet.
