Re: CA: Proposed law prevents shooting people with fake guns
nothing at all surprises me about the moron state of Kali, that proposal is totally assinine though. What it will lead to is people not willing to be in law enforcement in Kali or just totally backing away if the criminal is holding anything at all..... yea, criminals go free!!!!!
But if they were to pass it I would guess crime skyrockets as there will not be many law enforcement people on the job....good luck kali....please secede

California would disarm police in a heartbeat if they could- and they are probably close to doing that in terms of a Dem voting block.

That's stupid. Lets hope it doesn't pass. I'm sure the unions will not go for it.

I don't find that to be as silly as the law proposed in USN's post.HokieHam wrote:Yeah. It’s asinine......as is this:

Wouldn't such a law run afoul of the First Amendment? Who determines what is a "news" story vs a work of fiction posted for entertainment value? Who determines which "fact checker" is the arbiter of the truth?ip_law-hokie wrote:I don't find that to be as silly as the law proposed in USN's post.HokieHam wrote:Yeah. Re: CA: Proposed law prevents shooting people with fake guns
In the end the CA government does because they would be enforcing this law and through that enforcement would determine what is censored because if the enforcers feel it's fake and it's not censored the company is in violation. The bigger issue with this is that by it's very standard (any service with a physical presence in CA) it ends up applying CA's laws to the world.Hokie5150 wrote:Wouldn't such a law run afoul of the First Amendment?
