That's obviously the inevitable result on a ban on assault weapons. Slippery Slope!

No, that would be your rejection / horrible application of the 2nd Amendment as a whole.

WHy uphold the ban on the AR15 but a Ruger Mini 14 is A.O.K. It makes absolutely no sense.

But the Mini 14 isn't fully semi-automatic firing 20-thousand boolits per second!

Oh IP!

Correct. I don’t understand how I got owned by linking an article about a first circuit opinion that Major Kong disagrees with.

As kong points out the ruling makes no sense, but again you have no idea what Kong is referencing due to your lack of knowledge and your wanting to be owned yet again in yet another gun thread.

You're in way over your head. The AR-15 isn't banned for possession by name, Massachusetts just has a feature test which is applicable to almost all (but not all) AR15's. The Mini 14 passes the feature test, but is identical in function (same capacity, same round, same operation).

The ruling is bad because the law prohibits weapons in common use (see Heller v DC), and the AR15 is the most popular modern sporting rifle in existence.

We have the 7CA and District Court....and Kong...and the Supreme Court. You're welcome.

Understood! You must enjoy your unfettered access to AR-15s.

I do, thanks - in spite of the government's efforts to deny me my rights.

If you’ve got the Supreme Court, you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

Got it. I’d still leave your AR-15 at home if you were to travel to Boston.

You're in way over your head. The AR-15 isn't banned by name, Massachusetts just has a feature test which is applicable to almost all (but not all) AR15's. The Mini 14 passes the feature test, but is identical in function (same capacity, same round, same operation).

The ruling is bad because the law prohibits weapons in common use (see Heller v DC), and the AR15 is the most popular modern sporting rifle in existence.

Got it.

WHy uphold the ban on the AR15 but a Ruger Mini 14 is A.O.K. It makes absolutely no sense.

Did the judge have the opportunity to rule on the Ruger Mini 14?

It's not affected by the law, there is no standing. That's his point.
