Nothing would surprise me. Republicans and Democrats have the capacity to be repulsive human beings as do IRS agents, priests, Waffle House waitresses, Lyft drivers, and school teachers (you get where I'm going with this). That said, I'd like to believe that for the most part, people are mindful of the fact that she is (and after she passes, was) someone's mother, grandmother, wife, etc. She may have been a magnificent example of humanity 90% of her life and people may still remember her for the 10%*. Humanity sucks. Look around you here on UWS.

*I have no idea who she really is, so the 90%/10% is to illustrate my point rather than an opinion. In fact, in all the years I've read anything about her, I can only remember a few news stories where she was reported as displaying less than stellar character. I hope my numbers are that favorable when I go.

I'm surprised I haven't found much from the left trashing her. I've seen a few very insensitive jokes likely from the left. Negative comments about her on Twitter come from Trump supporters in response to this:
