I wonder if some ancient and mysterious sites were resorts or entertainment back in thier day. What if the sphinx was a casino?

Re: Ancient sites...
I'm half serious. I mean what would a civilization 2k years from now think of us if they unearthed Vegas for example? Maybe we're finding the Vegas of thier day. We see wierd crap when it was really just decorations for a theme park type of deal. Instead we assume it's something of deep meaning when it could just be pop culture crap.Major Kong wrote:It is a riddle.awesome guy wrote:I wonder if some ancient and mysterious sites were resorts or entertainment back in thier day. I doubt people read 2k years from now. They'll be wired to the Internet together, tied directly into each others mind. Imagine how shity thier Facebook will beMajor Kong wrote:I think our documenting is multitudes better than +2k years ago. Re: Ancient sites...
That's disconcerting. I don't need people knowing what I really think of them.

If you're interested, I'll ask my mother for some recommendations on a few really good bodice rippers if you're in the mood to branch out genre wise. I've found her recommendations to be both instructive and illuminating.... and uncomfortable (for me at least as it is my mama we're talking about).

Nah that's OK...Fiction wise I'm still into Sci Fi with an occasional Dan Brown, Michael Crichton (May he RIP), Tom Clancy (May he RIP) or Stephen King novel thrown in.Once wrote:If you're interested, I'll ask my mother for some recommendations on a few really good bodice rippers if you're in the mood to branch out genre wise.
