A couple thoughts.
a) If OK doesn't have the same nutty 0 tolerance laws that MD does, then this seems unnecessary.
b) WTF with the teachers union objecting over taking control from them. Like they really want to call the cops on a 5 year old with a pop tart gun?
c) The fact people would even debate this stuff gives me little hope for the future. I bet that if we could get into the teachers union heads then it all comes back to politics and the not banning 2nd amendment shirts is really about not advertising for republicans. And that's probably most of the object from them. I'm sure there are some radical nuts that think pop tart guns should be banned and they lead to a male dominated world or some other feminist BS.
