Beyond the irony of these idiots calling others idiots, who thinks a polyglot society is best? A nation not sharing a language or culture is ripe for war and division. Yes, I have been to various ethnic neighborhoods. Very small pockets. Very small segment of the population. But it's interesting how they don't foist their culture on the surrounding neighborhoods and don't demand it of the USG.

As I stated previously, first generation immigrants need to learn to speak English if they want to be able to function and succeed in America. How many kids did you encounter? I doubt many. Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix have huge issues from Latinos refusing to assimilate. And they're in such large numbers they can live in their communities without having to speak English. The problem arises for the second and third generations trying to break out make something of themselves when they're not really learning English in a meaningful way. Even the second and third generations have thick and almost unintelligible accents. The school systems have enormous issues because their English is so poor they can't teach in it and that just makes it much harder for them to be more than a house cleaner. Plus many just don't want educations because they consider it girly. They value manual labor more than anything else. Add in the other factor of rampant crime and gangs and then these kids are at extreme disadvantage. Their path to success starts with a good education and there are many obstacles stemming from their parent's refusal to assimilate.

I kinda look at it this way. The greatest American that ever lived, Jesus Christ, didn't speak English and he would have liked coke mixed with some of my shine.
