Critical Looks Theory

Post by awesome guy »

Now they're targeting us good looking people. Though there is a point in this that good looking people do get the benefit of doubt more because people want to be around us more than ugly people. There's no violent system of lookism though. I'd also be willing to bet that this is also what racism actually is most of the time. It's not race, it's appearance both physically and in spirit (ie many blacks tend to be loud and obnoxious. All loud and obnoxious people are treated the same, but blacks tend to be overrepresented in this behavior). Simpletons focus on skin color and say dumb things like "all because of a melanoma difference" when there's a lot more to the differences than that, with skin color actually being a nonfactor. Dark skin may even be the best feature, just look how white people want a tan. Physical appearance is a factor and black typically isn't beautiful. The fact they had to create an ad campaign saying "Black is Beautiful" which confirms that the opposite is most often true, otherwise it's just an obvious fact that doesn't need to convince the public that the opposite is true. Of course there are beautiful black people and this is all a sweeping generalization. But look at Michelle Obama, they had to go all the way to her arms to find something to speak favorably of. That tells the tale right there. Vanessa Williams had people fawning all over her because she is beautiful. And then we have Whitney Houston, physically beautiful, but people didn't want to be around her because she was raging drug addicted bitch. That's ugly on the inside.

The whole point in the above is that human beings tend to judge based on fine grained qualities and not broadly. If you break down the favorable and unfavorable qualities, there are racial differences broadly in exhibiting those qualities. IE, people are judging based on physical appearance, attitude, intelligence, compassion, life skills, athleticism, etc. Any individual will be favorably or unfavorably judged based on those attributes. But the final tally gets mislabeled as racism or any other ism when it's really just the variance in representation across race, religion, region, etc that affects the final tally. So when talking about sports, blacks are way over represented because they tend to be better athletes with larger bodies. Whites are over represented being CEOs because they tend to have higher IQs. Any individual will of course land where their individual skills are. IE Larry Bird was one of the greatest basketball players ever, Herman Cain was a fantastic CEO that turned Godfather's Pizza back into profitability, and Ben Carson is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, neurosurgeons on the planet. Same thing happens on looks when judging noses, ears, hair, etc. individuals are judged as individuals, but the world appears *ist only when aggregating individual totals into a summary or stereotype. Any individual can break the stereotype and most all individuals do break them in at least one dimension, often several dimensions. But there isn't an equal distribution of these qualities across demographics and that's what we call stereotypes. These professional cry babies may actually be on to something as they're digging deeper than race, but need to go deeper and broader to get a fuller comprehension of humanity.
