I can't access their (WSJ's) subscription stuff.


Gave a test yesterday (4 classes, 2 ea of Algebra 1 and Algebra 2). Holy smokes these kids are missing foundational fundamentals.

4th and 5th grade stuff.
And this is a private school.

So.
Do I cover the real curriculum for the 2 or 3 that get it, orrr... do I teach the other 15 how a x b = b x a and distributive property etc.?

Real question. I'm torn.

Real question. I'm torn.

Use the at-level students' knowledge to the benefit of the class. Let them work with the other students in groups of five in the areas of concern. Think of yourself as the head coach and your tutor's are your position coaches.
