I have a tough time w/ the 9/11 conspiracy stuff.
Devil's advocate question- if he is indeed the premier expert structural engineer of skyscraper collapse ...what's he doing in Fairbanks?

One of the more common conspiracies I've read is about 'the fire not being hot enough to melt steel in the towers, therefore, inside job. '
Uhhh, you don't have to melt steel to cause a building of that size to collapse. Steel only has to bend under load to cause structural failure. The fire was absolutely hot enough to cause structural failure.
The official story for Building 7 is that falling debris from the North Tower weakened the structure and caused it to collapse. Along with fire and a faulty sprinkler system.
The most conspiratorial take I can suggest is they did a controlled demo of Building 7 In order to minimize further collateral damage to structurally intact buildings. But that conspiracy theory take also has plot holes.

Last time I was there (Juneau during that massive snow storm a few weeks ago), I kept going back to the same coffee hut. The little barista was dang cute.

You guys know there was a VT professor (Judy Wood, PhD in Civil Engineering) that wrote a whole book about this?
