All this partisan stuff is so humorous to me. Typical alliances are being turned upside down. I don't think Obama has any coherent long term plan for the region.
The author makes a good point. The hawks in Isreal are not too happy with Obama's campaign to bomb IS, they don't consider IS a legit threat as much as a potential counterweight to Iran and Syria(both of which are backed by Russia). Since Clinton left office, Iran has been owning the US in foreign policy. They got us to take out their most hated enemy in Saddam and allowed Iran to gain massive influence in Bush's Iraq. A new threat/annoyance to Iran emerges and Obama is quick to rush in to take care of this one as well.
Ron Paul is right, there is no difference between Dem and Rep and Obama has no plan for what to do with IS.
Isreal is not too keen on Obama's war on IS
