I saw an AWESOME quote the other day from a veteran (attempting) to visit the memorial:
(paraphrasing)
"When we got to Normandy, it was closed too"

It's great that we have money to buy barricades from "rentaguard.com". And here I thought the government was shut down.

Park Services took the pic? I bet a lawyer made them do it because opening a Barrycade isn't destruction of property. But cutting that wire is. And I've seen thicker gaged stuff for shark fishing. Diggety could probably break it.HokieFanDC wrote:I wonder how long it took the guy taking the picture to put that wire on there?Homebrew wrote:Obama is upping the ante.

yea, that is the same looking stuff we use for wire connections on our horse fences, it has zero strength, you can literally bend it back and forth a couple of times and it breaks. could be a set up but I would not put it past Obama to do that, the dude is one vindictive arsehole

Yeh, I'm certainly not ruling out that Parks Services put it up, but it looks suspiciously lame.cwtcr hokie wrote:yea, that is the same looking stuff we use for wire connections on our horse fences, it has zero strength, you can literally bend it back and forth a couple of times and it breaks. could be a set up but I would not put it past Obama to do that, the dude is one vindictive arsehole
