Movie review: Jurassic World

Lame.

The story line was actually good. But they didn't do much with it.

The characters were all cliché's. The marketing guy at the park who said the animals were "assets" and was concerned about money more than humanity.

The hunky ex navy guy with a heart of gold and badass attitude. Who could um, train raptors.

The evil military guy (duh) who wants the animals on the battlefield.

Two (totally uncute) kids who get lost on a ride during the havoc. They are the nephews of the marketing guy.

The head scientist was asian, ya think?

There was no chemistry between characters anywhere in the movie. The romantic interest between the marketing guy (she was only good looking, not great) and the hunk with a heart of gold was clumsy and lame. A couple of the India Jones attempts at romantic humor and sexual tension fell very flat.

No character development at all. At one point for reasons known only to them, they introduce the fact that the uncute kids' parents are getting a divorce. And....? They devote all of about three sentences to it and it goes nowhere.

Crummy writing, bad casting and superficial dialogue. But a semi interesting premise.

Don't expect much and you may enjoy it.

Saw it at the Imax in 3D. Not bad.
If you bend over backwards long enough,
eventually you'll fall down.
