My wife was going down to the basement, somehow missed the last step and has really buggered up her right ankle. My MIL has taken her to the ER while I stay here with my son (she just can't handle him anymore).
Since the age of 15 I've doinked up my ankles so many times and have had so many surgeries that the scars look like a LA freeway road map it is expected to be clumsy...and has given me a really cool Festus like gait. My wife however has gone through life relatively unscathed in the realm of broken bones and such (one dislocated finger as a child) that this will be a new experience.
She's a retired triage ER nurse so she'll be alright except for one thing...she's the worse patient in the world.

Well holy misdiagnosis Batman.
Seems as though the missus has a broken right ankle, torn ligaments and a cartilage tear...surgery scheduled for January 13th.
Actually I don't think it was as much of a misdiagnosis as it was a not enough information diagnosis...she had an MRI Christmas Eve morning and the follow up today...she is wearing a kewl Frankenboot though.

She'll be fine. Other than being the world's worse patient her biggest concern is the scar on her ankle might mean she can't wear sandals in the summerRiverguyVT wrote:Oh no.
