iTunes?
Do you trust the cloud?
Do you have a "main" PC, and multiple devices?
old vinyl?
cassettes (LOL)?
I've got an external drive w/ a bunch of music, and a PC w/ itunes, but the itunes on the PC got all screwed up.
I need to wipe that out, re-load, and then re-do my several devices.
(Sigh).
Looking like a total pain in the rear. Not looking forward to it.

iTunes. Yes, I trust my cloud. Multiple PCs, but I use one for my master for both music and books. I only have about 30 vinyl albums left and all but 3 of those are vintage opera recordings. The other 3 are the first album I ever purchased and two oddities my brothers left in the house when they moved out of the parents' house. I have cassettes, but they are all recordings of me taped during lessons and performances, so they are of no interest to anyone (I haven't listened to them in years either). I'd feel pretty confident suggesting you trust the cloud, but others may have a good reason why you shouldn't.

It is very confusing on what to do. When i sit at my desk at home, I use the company issued laptop for work, and I turn on the desktop machine and use it as a jukebox all day, mostly running Spotify, with iTunes second. I am wondering if Spotify is the future. Maybe I never need to own music, except for rare albums from lesser know bands. I think Spotify is better than Pandora, as I like picking the album to hear.
But yeah, I have all my music in the cloud now, which is nice as it is all available in the iPad or iPhone. It is nice to be able to plug your phone into a 1/8 inch stereo cable to RCA cable and plug it into any stereo.
