I kinda agree. That cast would bull whip the fly, likely splintering the line and losing the fly. He stinks and is completely cheery. But this even happens with the "experts". One of the big fish shows has some biologist trying to be Jeremy Wade. He was going after taimen in Mongolia and was noobing up the cast all day. I'm an intermediate fly caster and can do better. Well, not to brag, but I was able to cast in 11 Mile State Park in CO with a 30-40 mph wind. Just gota side arm it to cut under the wind, so maybe I'm not so noob at it. Anyway, TV fishermen aren't to be replicated. Even after this guy whips it, he's leaving loops on the water. When he does that, the current takes the line pulling it twice as fast as the rest of the stream, goofing up the presentation. Now I do this on purpose from time to time with streamers, but he's just making a bad cast. I'm not flying on southwest to fish like a rookie.
