Images aren't always displaying. To me, there seems to be no rhyme or reason for which ones will, and which ones won't. For example, I see one of the images from the advert on this page just fine; but there are 4 images, and 3 are showing as a green block. Some images don't load and just give me a blackened box frame where the picture should be. In our meme threads for example, some are just black boxes instead of the picture. And some are just fine. On 'some' YouTube boxes, the image is blackened and I see a very dim shadow of the image to come. Playing the actual YouTube video seems to be no problem.
This is happening on websites, downloads and in my own pictures folder. Sometimes. Some show, and some won't. I ran a scan (McAfee) and have all updates the Mac OS will let me take.
Thumbnail views seem to be okay, usually. When clicking for a larger view, on some, I get the black box.
Also getting this on web links (using safari) to a PDF file. It shows up as a big black screen. Unless I use the "preview" function, and then it appears as normal.
No apple help sites seem to have my answer. They all seem to want to discuss the broken-link red x, which is not what I'm experiencing.
Do y'all think I may have a bad graphics card? The "sometimes" nature of this issue is maddening.
