I just scrolled through his IMDB profile and I don't see a single movie that he played any significant role in which I liked.

Yeah, heroin is a hell of a drug.

I always remember him as Scotty the Sound Guy on Boogie Nights. It wasn't a significant role for Hoffman, but I liked the movie.

He was great in Capote.

Oh well another junkie out...I do feel for his wife and kids.

j/k, I feel bad for his relatives but sorry if a dude offs himself with drugs I feel nothing for them, it is called stupidity.

I generally liked the characters he played in his movies - Twister, The Big Lebowski, Red Dragon, Moneyball, etc. Shame that he'd kill himself like this. Feel terrible for his kids.
