Don't know how many (if any) of you folks ever met, knew or had a class with Jim, but he was an absolute world class scientist, professor, and mentor. I'd always heard he was the highest paid professor at Tech. I had classes taught by him and he was on my committee. Great guy, and has forgotten more about polymer science than most of us will ever know. World renowned - a big loss.

I've raised my glass a few times with him; I'm doing so in his honor now.
