It would have indeed been a better picture if the bear was still alive.

he killed it with a bow, that's an awesome kill. I would take it though if he posed with some bear steaks or eggs fried in bear fat. Yum, yum.

Nope my nephew doesn't kill for trophy that picture was taken at the check station and is mandatory part of the check procedure...also a premolar tooth has to be extracted.

He has spent the day with my niece and her husband dressing the bear and getting the meat ready. He's also got two bucks this bow season. He very rarely eats store bought meat and very much cooks and eats what he kills...he makes a heller deer roast and my mom makes a heller bear stew.

Oh hell no this bear had wandered across the mountain from around Burkes Garden, according to the tag, and had gotten used to people...being removed once.

My nephew killed it less than a ¼ mile from my Mom's house in an area with several houses and black bears have been much more than a nuisance to homeowners.

Why?

Dude eats what he harvests.

But I'll keep that in mind about the poor cow next time you munch down on a steak

You necks should find other ways of measuring your dicks that don't involve killing innocent creatures for sport.

Poor IP can't measure up.

How big would the pile of crap be in your drawers if you saw a bear in the woods? Or if you had to kill the chicken/pig/cow or whatever it is you eat? Death is how life continues.

Wadr, I don't think that's the issue here.

I eat meat, chicken, fish etc. But I don't want to see a photo of someone posing with a killed cow.

This bear has blood dripping from its nose, I find it grotesque. I am not against hunting for those who choose to hunt. And I appreciate the fact that those who eat what they kill are better than those who kill for sport and trophies.

I just don't want to see the results.

This picture was posed and then presented online as something noble.

Perhaps it was, but I don't see it that way. I just find it grotesque.

Your own words "You necks should find other ways of measuring your dicks that don't involve killing innocent creatures for sport."

Your obsession in making all things phallic is very telling.

Does Major Kong's nephew make you feel like a girly man? I think that's what this is really about, he's more of a man than you can be and so you cry like a girl so he stops reminding you of your inadequacy. The great thing about courage is it builds on itself. If you made one courageous act, you would likely be able to followup with others, becoming something close to a real man. Spare me the estrogen driven BS of "real men don't kill animals". That's crap from people too weak to draw the bow and have it's broadhead pierce an animal's hide, killing it. Kill your own food to show you're not just one of those mouth breathers living on the coattails of those who can do the dirty work in life. You should celebrate them for you'll starve without them.

weight for the gillnet. So we tie the bumpers on as floats, then the bricks on the bottom line to keep it down. We didn't use a gillnet or the bricks on that trip. We never do in saltwater, they were left from the previous trip where we net gizzard shad for catfish bait.

death is a part of life, it is what it is, try holding on to your horse as the vet gives her a shot to end her life, then burying her, that is bad times. I have no problem with hunting as long as the hunters are following the rules tho.

And the deer that decided to run into the front corner of my car the day after xmas two years ago did not look swell afterwards, heck I was hauling hay on Sunday after dark and had two different deer come across the front of the truck on the last load back, luckily it was a small load and the brake lock did not create a problem but would not mind if the deer population is culled some
