pork

I have 2 pork butts and 3 baby back ribs on the smoker right now! So this should be "what I'm having for lunch tomorrow!"

I had a barbeque burrito for dinner. If you're in the greater 757 area, check out Bubba-N-Franks. https://www.facebook.com/BubbaNFranksJanaf

They are relatively new and have good Carolina style barbeque.

looks great! I prefer my own over all others though. Not being intentional cocky, barbecue is always best when you make it exactly as you want, without considering all the other people that might be eating it. I like mine a little hotter than the rest of the people I normally eat with. So these have a dose of cayenne pepper in them. I also kicked it up a notch and made an injection with cumin, mace, more cayenne pepper, maple syrup, honey, molasses, and a touch of apple cider vinegar. I've never done an injection like this, but the piece I've picked off so far indicate it may be a winner.

When not smoking my own, we have Q's in the 804. It's owned by Tuffy Stone who is one of the judges on Barbecue Pitmasters. That's some good stuff, he's really upped his restaurant game over the last couple years. I've judged a couple competitions he cooked in before his TV show. I'm not sure if I got exactly what he cooked, but it looked fantastic as we walked around the pits, hanging out.

I'll have to give that place you link a try next time in the 575 which is quite often.

Kings barbecue in Petersburg is the shizzle.

If you're ever down that way, stop in. Ask for outside meat, get the onion rings and apple pie.

King's is "okay".

I like Sibley's in Chester.
TD's on West End (patterson- he's an LSU fan) has solid meat; a great jambalaya; slow service.
Alexander's meat is "okay", but their sauce is great.

I'm partial to Benny's.
Buzz/Ned's is good, too.

BBQ in richmond has come light years in the last 10 yrs.

Yep!

TD's might have the best ribs in town. The other cajun food is ridiculous, even if the oil changing half camouflages the restaurant.

I don't consider Alexander's barbeque, it's not even smoked.

Yeah, like Bill's used to be. Blech.

You must've hit Kings on a bad day or something. I used to ride by there and roll down my windows just to smell them smoking it.

You know whose isn't half bad barbecue?
The Chesterfield Airport has a little restaurant in there.. BBQ is good.

!!

Yeah. alexanders...it's all about the sauce there. (I guess they came to mind as I was thinking about TD's, and they're just down the road a piece)
