Nope...Big 12 Offense and "only" 24 points. For a season opener against a quality team I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Now if Slye will straighten out his FG attempts I'd be ecstatic :!:

After all at least we're not Baylor or UNLV. :D

I wouldn't. Total yardage is more a function of tempo and number of possessions. I would judge the D on a per possession basis, but they did tire in the 2H.

no, the eers have a good team, great game though but the way fball is going these days there are more shoot outs like our game was. Also both offenses were running plays at very fast clips, thney did not even have time to get any replays in between plays. Up tempo offenses will generate yards most of the time

Mountain Jesus* is a legit QB talent. And his wife is smokin' hot.

*lifted the term from someone over on TKP.

And JJ has a nice touch on the long ball. Much better than Evans. However, his durability worries me.

That QB for WVA was a better passer than we have EVER had at VT. Don't get me wrong, I love TT and many of the others, but that Grier fellow could deliver the ball on a dime. We have never had that. Barring an injury he plays on Sunday's.
