UWS Tournament Bracket Challenge
UWS Tournament Bracket Challenge
URL: https://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/
Pool Name: United We Stand (uwsboard.com)
Group Number: 83742
Password: gohokies
Invitation Link: http://y.ahoo.it/vFJCnEQh
Instructions for entering without signing up for Yahoo's stupid SMS marketing nonsense: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/tourney-picke ... sions=true
(Yahoo has been nagging for years about validating your account with a phone number. Apparently, now it is mandatory, not just a nag. If you have not previously validated your Yahoo account using a phone number, when you attempt to log in, they will ask you to sign up for marketing SMS messages. This has to do with the billion dollar bracket thing. You can instead follow the linked instructions to validate your account using a land line and not be subjected to their marketing texts. If having to validate your account with a phone number is a deal killer for anyone, maybe we move to ESPN?)
By the way, only the first 15 million to sign up for the Billion dollar challenge bracket are eligible. I have no idea if that threshold has already been met, but if you'd like to have a few days of dreaming about being a billionaire before being bitterly disappointed when a wild upset nobody saw coming happens in the first game of day one, you should sign up BEFORE the pairings are announced - presumably 15 million will come pretty quickly after the pairings come out.

Brilliant promotion.BigDave wrote:Regrettably, I will not be winning $1 billion.
With their Cap’n and Chief Intelligence Officer having deserted them, River, Ham and Joe valiantly continue their whataboutismistic last stand of the DJT apology tour.

I missed it on Harvard, so no billion for me either, but I did get Dayton over OSUMajor Kong wrote:Me too but I did pick Harvard.BigDave wrote:Regrettably, I will not be winning $1 billion.
Re: UWS Tournament Bracket Challenge
The weekend has not been kind to me.
It's been an exciting tourney though, a lot of close games

Re: UWS Tournament Bracket Challenge
Apparently Yahoo isn't doing the second chance pick 'em this year where you re-do your bracket for the sweet 16? That sucks.
So it looks like our leaderboard is:
1. LD
2. David (BigDave)
3. JBreezey
4. Jason (IP Law Hokie)
5. Jmac (jmac610)
5. Bill S (Florida Hokie)
7. Mark
7. Jimbo
Who are LD, JBreezey, Mark, and Jimbo?

If only the Gators fielded more than only one player, Patric Young, that actually wanted to win the game...BigDave wrote:Oddly, nobody seems to have had Kentucky of UConn in the championship game and so we are done here. Congratulations to IP Law Hokie on his win.
