Not sure what to think, although I believe it's probably a good move.

The team was dreadful. Virtually unwatchable. So I didn't watch much and that's why I cannot be too adamant with an opinion here.

Was it coaching?

Coaches get the blame or credit, in overstated proportions, so I think it's a good move. Especially since the new AD should come in and make a statement about the striving for excellence in our programs. And I didn't see any great changes in bball coming anytime soon.

The coach seemed a decent guy. But the team was cruddy.

The right move, imo.

I think we should hire that ESPN commentator guy, he seems like he could do well at VT.

Good. I was afraid that the TSL wizards of smart were right and we would have to suffer through another year of this just so that Babcock wouldn't look like he was too anxious to fire someone.

Usually, the new boss almost HAS TO fire people to put his stamp on the organization.

Beamer is an icon and therefore untouchable, and the basketball team was horrible. I would have been very surprised if he had kept the coach.

I'm liking the spirit of TSL already with their desired replacements. Shaka, Greg Marshall, and some guy even seriously suggested bringing Seth back. This is going to be fun.
