You can set your watch to Oregon blowing a Pac 12 game every year.

yep, the pac 12 is not great this year, Oregon's flaws have been demonstrated many times, they are flashy but some defenses just eliminate all their specialness (is that a word?)

Not that great????

Compared to the SEC West that is correct. Compared to the rest of the Big 5....are you serious?

Yeah, but I'd say 90-95% of teams in college football lose at least one conference game every year.

not my opinion, was listening to an analysis on espn the other day, no the pac 12 has not been that great this year. I am sure you disagree tho

and yes I know the ACC is the worst conference on the planet

1) SEC
2) Pac12
3) Big12
4) Big10
5) ACC

But those teams aren't consistently ranked int he Top 5 year in year out. (You know, because of Nike $$$)

By seasons end most top 5 teams have one or two losses every year.

I'll try one more time. Oregon always loses a game it isn't expected to lose in the Pac12.

Gotcha. They are the Pac12's version of Clemson.

I stayed up last night and watched the game. The UofA took it to the Ducks and if they hadn't shot themselves in the foot deep in Oregon territory right at the end of the 1st ½ they would have led at the break...AZ QB buggered up the hand off.

In the 2nd ½ the AZ was firing on all cylinders...the O was was keeping the ball away from Oregon and the D was taking advantage of the crappy Oregon O-line...if Mariota wasn't such an unbelievable player the result would have been worse and it still took a great strip of the ball by Scooby Wright from Mariota to seal the win.

The Pac 12 has got some very good teams but I don't think there is a great team...to be honest I'm not sure who is great out there this year. It could be 'Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St., Texas A&M (ya see a pattern there?), Oklahoma, Baylor or FSU. This weekend will shake some things out a bit especially in the SEC-W.

From what I've see of FSU this year, they aren't as good as last year's team.

But I agree...basically the SEC West would dominate in a round robin with other conferences.

When you are ranked in the top five you aren't going to be expected to lose any Pac12 games.
